Dr. Sirtaz S. Sibia, D.O., F.A.O.C.O. is a board certified ophthalmic surgeon who believes in personally attending to each patient’s individual needs with sensitivity and discretion. He has been caring for patients locally since 1999.

Dr. Sibia has received training at the finest institutions. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Miami. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Sibia completed his Ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University, followed by an oculoplastics fellowship at the Beraja Medical Insitute in Miami, Florida.

As an accomplished surgeon, Dr. Sibia draws on his vast clinical experience along with his dedication to leading edge technology and advanced surgical techniques. He strives to provide the care that he would expect for himself and his family. Dr. Sibia educates his patients about their condition and creates a custom management plan in every case.

For over fifteen years, Dr. Sibia has performed thousands of surgical eye procedures. Dr. Sibia has volunteered several times on mission trips to India where he provided much needed surgery and care for the less fortunate, as well as teaching the local ophthalmologists his surgical techniques.

Dr. Sibia is a national speaker and gives lectures on multiple topics to his peers. He has served many years as a Board of Governor for the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and has held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and is currently the President of the colleges. He has traveled many times to Washington, D.C. to meet with policy experts and Members of the U.S. Congress on healthcare issues.

In his free time, Dr. Sibia enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.

Kathryn Miller, D.O., MBA is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in small-incision cataract surgery and eyelid disorders. She attended Lipscomb University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors and continued her education in Tennessee, earning her medical degree at Lincoln Memorial University. She then completed her ophthalmology residency training through Nova Southeastern University in Miami. Dr. Miller specializes in the use of
premium intra ocular lenses for cataract surgery. Highly trained in eyelid surgery, she performs functional and cosmetic blepharoplasty, BOTOX injections and the use of facial fillers to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Miller was raised on a horse and cattle farm in Tennessee, training and showing American Quarter Horses. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working with her dogs.

Dr. Laura Rubinate, DO is an Ophthalmologist board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and licensed by the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine. She is originally from Philadelphia and received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She then worked as a scientist at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, while pursuing a graduate degree in Pharmacology from Thomas Jefferson University. She attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, receiving her medical degree in 2008.She then entered the military and completed her transitional internship at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC) in San Antonio, TX as an Active Duty Army officer, followed by her residency in Ophthalmology from 2009-2012. She was then an active duty Army staff physician at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX from 2012-2014 and subsequently at BAMC from 2014-2016, when she was honorably discharged from the Army. She was then in private practice in San Antonio until finally moving back to Florida.

As the fourth ophthalmologist in her family, Ashlyn E. Reiser, MD, began her journey into ophthalmology at a young age. Originally from Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton, Pennsylvania, she completed her undergraduate training at the University of Miami (2016), majoring in Exercise Physiology and minoring in Chemistry, before returning home to Scranton to complete her MD training at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (2020). After graduating from medical school, Dr. Reiser completed her internship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (2021). She then completed her ophthalmology residency with a Nova Southeastern University program in Miami (2024). In her spare time, Dr. Reiser loves cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings, as well as enjoying her family and her ugly-cute dog, Pipsqueak. Dr. Reiser is grateful to be able to pursue her lifelong dream of practicing ophthalmology in the place she always wished to call home, and she looks forward to offering dedicated, compassionate care to all those she is fortunate enough to meet.

Margarita Cardenas, MD, is an Ophthalmologist that specializes in Oculoplastics and Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She graduated from the Pontificia Bolivariana University in Colombia, where she received both her Doctor of Medicine, and her specialty degree in comprehensive ophthalmology, she completed a Research Fellowship in Ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma’s Dean McGee Eye Institute and has been a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She also completed a Headache Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and specialized in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She then completed an Ophthalmic Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship at the Beraja Medical Institute in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Cardenas is an active member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.She’s passionate about giving her patients highly personalized care and helping them understand the importance of their vision by diagnosing and treating eye diseases promptly. She enjoys educating her patients about eye health and finding the best solutions to meet their needs. She now specializes in providing Oculoplastic care and Adult Strabismus care, she has performed thousands of eyelid surgeries for medical and cosmetic conditions. She performs Botox injections and facial fillers in the office as well. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing time with her family traveling and cooking and loves walking on the beautiful Florida beaches. Dr. Cardenas also volunteers her time with less fortunate people when she performs surgery on Latin American Ophthalmology Mission trips.
